Beryl Crofts did not take up formal training in painting until her 40s. Since then she has gone from strength to strength and exhibits regularly around Sydney. Her paintings often feature bright colors and detailed brushwork, and her still lifes are particularly notable for their intricate compositions and delicate depictions of flowers and fruit. She paints in water colours and, more recently, acrylics. She won second prize for marine-themed painting at the 2015 Royal Easter Show. She paints generally around the NSW Central Coast area but has also spent time in Provence.
