Frank Cullen was an Australian artist who primarily worked as a landscape painter. He was born in Sydney in 1937 and began his career in the 1960s.
Cullen's paintings are characterized by their bold use of color and strong sense of light and shadow. He often worked in oil and his landscapes were influenced by the Australian outback, particularly the desert regions of Central Australia.
Cullen exhibited his work extensively throughout Australia and was the recipient of several art awards, including the Wynne Prize in 1973 for his painting "Flood Plain, Northern Territory".
