Born in Melbourne in 1931, Theresa Frances Kennedy's artistic journey began during her secondary school years when she secured a valuable two-year art scholarship. This scholarship served as the cornerstone for her exploration of various artistic mediums and fostered her deep admiration for both classical and contemporary masters. Theresa's artistic expression finds its voice primarily through the medium of oils, as she dedicates herself to capturing landscapes in a manner rooted in the traditions of Realism.

Her artistic approach is characterized by a unique combination of both knife and brush techniques, which infuse her paintings with a distinct and individualized touch. Through the deft interplay of light, shadow, and detail, Theresa's landscapes come to life in a vivid display of her mastery over her chosen style.

Over the years, Theresa Kennedy's talent has been recognized and celebrated through numerous awards. Notably, in 1980, she was honored with the prestigious H.C. Sleigh $1,000 award for her exceptional work in oils. Her artistic prowess has also been showcased in several successful exhibitions.
