Elizabeth Anderson was a late 20th-century Australian artist known for her evocative ink and watercolour works. Trained from 1960 to 1962 at East Sydney Technical College, a prestigious art institution, she developed a refined skill set that led to her work being placed in private collections across Australia and internationally. Anderson was very inspired by Australia’s architectural heritage, particularly old cottages. Her art not only showcased these quaint buildings but also communicated her strong advocacy for their preservation. She frequently traveled to regional areas, seeking out charming, weathered structures to bring to life in her art. Through exhibitions in regional galleries and in Balmain, Anderson shared her passion for old Australian buildings
