Fay Joseph
Fay Joseph (born Sydney, 1939) is a largely self-taught Australian painter working in oils and watercolour. Her subjects are broadly Australian in character — coastal scenes, rivers, lagoons, rural landscapes and regional towns, with documented subjects ranging from the Sydney waterways and Central Coast to inland NSW locations including Gundagai, Blayney and Tumut, as well as Tasmania.
Joseph exhibited actively in Sydney and regional New South Wales during the 1970s and 1980s, winning prizes at several art shows during that period. She is listed in two of the standard biographical references for Australian artists — Max Germaine's Artists and Galleries of Australia and his Dictionary of Women Artists of Australia
