Peg Berry
Peg Berry (1918–2008) was an accomplished South Australian artist, best known for her prolific work in pen and watercolor. Born Peggy Mabel Prince in Adelaide, she married Roy William ("Bill") Berry and had three children. The family lived in various locations, including Clare and Willunga. Peg's artistic output peaked between 1973 and 1990, with her works held in many private collections throughout South Australia. She exhibited at the Temple Bar Gallery in Middleton and at James Haselgrove’s Wines in McLaren Vale. A notable achievement in her career was the 1976 publication of Angaston Sketchbook, featuring her illustrations and text by Barry Chinner, inspired by the Barossa town of Angaston (see below). Peg passed away in 2008 at the age of 90 and is buried at Centennial Park Cemetery in Adelaide.
