Little biographical information is available about Val Anderson but she was active around the Hunter Valley area for many years and exhibited at the Maitland City Art Gallery in 1994 and Gladstone in 2008. She has at least one piece held in the University of Newcastle art collection. She appears to have worked predominantly in inks and produced attractive, carefully drafted works on heritage and colonial architecture
