There is little public record of James Morton’s artistic history, however he has painted a wide-range of Australian-themed landscapes in oils. He also paints very attractive renditions of Australian birdlife including kookaburras and kingsfishers. Colonial era scenes of stage coaches and Ned Kelly also feature. He has painted overseas and scenes from Sri Lanka and India appear in his works.

Note: There are a number of international painters also with the name of James Morton. This biographic entry refers only to the Australian artist
