Robert Lovett
Robert Lovett (born Parramatta, NSW, 1930) is an Australian painter and sculptor who studied at East Sydney Technical College and under artist and teacher G.K. Townshend, beginning with watercolours before moving into oils. He was an Associate Member of the Royal Art Society of New South Wales and served as Official Artist to the Snowy Mountains Authority from the early 1950s through to 1967 — a role that gave him sustained access to one of Australia's most ambitious postwar engineering projects.
He became particularly known for outback subjects featuring horses and cattle, but over time broadened his range to include the human figure, city scenes and landscapes from extensive travels through Asia, Europe, the Americas, the Middle East and the Pacific Islands. He has held solo exhibitions in Australia, the United States and Dubai, and a number of his paintings have been presented to foreign parliaments by the Australian Government.
Lovett is listed in Max Germaine's Artists and Galleries of Australia and Jean Campbell's Australian Watercolour Painters: 1780 to the Present Day.

Original watercolour by Australian artist Earl Hingston, depicting boats at Lake Macquarie, NSW. Earl Hingston is an Australian watercolourist known for NSW coastal and landscape subjects
This watercolour shows a calm coastal scene with boats pulled up on the shore and tall trees in the foreground. Hingston uses loose, confident brushstrokes and soft colour washes to create a clear, simple composition with a relaxed coastal feel. The focus is on atmosphere rather than fine detail, giving the work an easy, natural character. A good example of Hingston’s direct, design‑led approach to watercolour and his interest in capturing a quick, recognisable impression of everyday coastal life
