Colin Maxwell Parsons, born in Birmingham, England in 1936, is celebrated as one of Europe's finest contemporary landscape artists. After a career as an engineer in the British Army, serving in Egypt, Cyprus, and Northern Ireland, Parsons transitioned to professional art in 1969. His work captures the serene beauty of the European countryside, inviting viewers to daydream through lush landscapes and light-filled skies.
Parsons' first solo exhibition in the Channel Islands in 1983 garnered acclaim, especially for his painting "Evening Poppies," praised for its meticulous yet free brushwork. He played a pivotal role in founding the Guernsey Guild of Creative Art before moving to California, where his landscapes became highly collectible.
Parsons has held solo exhibitions in the United States, Australia, and the Channel Islands. Now, he splits his time between England and the USA, continuing to travel extensively for inspiration, exhibitions, and promotions, capturing the dreamy essence of rural scenes.
