Colin Maxwell Parsons, born in Birmingham, England in 1936, is celebrated as one of Europe's finest contemporary landscape artists. After a career as an engineer in the British Army, serving in Egypt, Cyprus, and Northern Ireland, Parsons transitioned to professional art in 1969. His work captures the serene beauty of the European countryside, inviting viewers to daydream through lush landscapes and light-filled skies.

Parsons' first solo exhibition in the Channel Islands in 1983 garnered acclaim, especially for his painting "Evening Poppies," praised for its meticulous yet free brushwork.
